We build small software for small businesses.
Not a product you have to fit your business around. We ask how your work already runs, and then build the thing you described.
Why we might have emailed you
Your business is listed in a public registry or directory: a business licence, a state register, a permit record, a membership list. That's where we found you. We wrote to ask how you handle one specific part of your week. Not a survey, not a pitch. One question, and a real person reads what you send back.
We ask first, then build
Most software gets built for an imaginary average business and then sold to everyone who comes close enough. We do it the other way round: find out how one business actually works, then build something that fits it.
So when we write to you, we genuinely don't know yet what would help. That's the reason for writing. What people tell us decides what we build next, and whoever told us gets it first.
What we've built so far
Artemis Workshop is new. So far it's a handful of rough tools, most of them built straight from one owner's description of their own week.
As that changes, what we've made will be listed right here, by the kind of business it was made for. What we've built for self-storage operators on one page, for personal trainers on another, for machine shops, childcare centres, farms, locksmiths, bookshops on theirs. When this page is still short, it's because we haven't earned a longer one.
Why it costs so little to do this
Building small software used to be too expensive to do for one shop at a time, so nobody did. That changed. It now costs us very little to make something for a single business, which is why we can afford to ask first and build second, and why the first thing we make for you is usually free.
It's just email
No call to book, no meeting, nothing to sign up for. Answer in one line if that's all the time you have, or tell us the whole story if you're in the mood. Both are useful. Plenty of people have told us more by email than they ever would on a call.
Who we are
Artemis Workshop is part of Artemis, a small software company. A handful of people, no sales team, no call centre. If you want to know who you're talking to, just ask in a reply and we'll tell you straight.
Rather not hear from us?
Reply and say so. We'll stop writing, no hard feelings. That's also the fastest way to reach us with a question.
